Scuba Diving Canada was born from a love of exploration, a respect for nature, and a deep belief that Canadian waters hold some of the most breathtaking, untold stories in the world.

We’re not just another scuba diving page — we’re a growing community of cold-water enthusiasts, lake explorers, wreck seekers, and ocean dreamers. From the Great Lakes of Ontario to the fjords of Newfoundland, from the emerald coast of British Columbia to the ice-covered lakes of Alberta, we’re here to showcase the wild and wonderful world of Canadian diving.

When people think of diving, they picture coral reefs and tropical waters — but Canada offers a different kind of magic. Cold, clear, and full of life, our waters are home to shipwrecks frozen in time, massive lake trout, ancient rock formations, and thriving marine ecosystems few have seen in person.

Diving in Canada isn’t easy. It’s physical. It’s technical. It requires grit and passion. But that’s what makes it special.

We believe the challenge is part of the reward — and we’re here to help more people experience it for themselves.

Scuba Diving Canada was created by Matthew Merryweather, a passionate cold-water diver and Canadian content creator. With a background in storytelling and a love for adventure, Matthew started this platform to share his journey and highlight the places, people, and wildlife that make Canadian diving so unique.

As the brand grows, we’re connecting with dive shops, underwater photographers, eco-divers, and explorers from coast to coast — and building something bigger than just a page.
